In a region of Mogadishu, the environment is constantly changing. Property investment projects are being developed in rural areas. The Somali minority considers it as an investment opportunity. Salaam Somali bank conceived this one.

The Daru Salam is home to approximately 5,000 families.  Hassan Hashi, who lived in Canada for 30 years: ‘Daru Salam is the city of hope and opportunities. It is a good location for business and the economy. Like Canada, it is peaceful and offers good schools and health facilities commensurate with high living standards. There are mosques in the area, and public transportation is also available.’

Daru Salam is 7.5 kilometers away from Mogadishu. It provides services and leisure that are exceptional in Somalia. Its private security team guards it. Illegal weapons, drugs, and music are not permitted. There is also a bit of luxury and a little bit of fun on hand. 

Mohammed Abdul Rahman, the entertainment, claimed: ‘I am in charge of the Daru Salam’s wild animals. My responsibility is to make guests happy by providing them with free entertainment and making them laugh. So I have no worries about giving incredible performances, such as putting snakes in my mouth.’ Children from other countries can learn about Somali culture here. Exclusive outdoor activities are enjoyed by tourists as well. Unfortunately, apartments are becoming more expensive due to increased demand, and new housing projects are expanding rapidly on the outskirts of Mogadishu.
